Following the Greenland expedition I decided to plan an adventure using what I had learned. Our team, The Monstrous Regiment, aimed to complete first ascents but we wanted the project to be more than this. We therefore decided to include some team members who had not been on a remote expedition before so that the experience could be a developmental skill share. We spent three weeks in the Kasha Suu valley becoming friends with border guards, cow herders and yaks. It was an incredible learning experience making me realise how much work goes into planning an adventure like this. Few places compare to the incredible sense of awe you get from sitting on a remote peak and watching row upon row of snow-capped mountains fade into the distance, the rocks below adding the perfect contrast of green, grey, red and orange.
